The device is used for comparative measurement of the moisture level of wood materials. The measured value is shown directly on the LC display. The direct percentage value display makes reading easier. This enables the moisture level to be checked over a certain period so as to make comparisons. The measurement is carried out via two insertion sensors, which are inserted into the material to be measured. The insertion probes can be changed after hohem wear. The wood type can be set directly on the device for more precise measurements. It has a temperature compensation function to include the material temperature in the measurement of the wood moisture. maximum and minimum values are displayed optionally and the device has an auto switch-off that can be switched on/off, a white background lighting of the LC display as well as a hold function to freeze a measured value on the display. It also has a low battery indicator and is powered by 3 x 1.5 V batteries. For protection during transport, a protection cap is enclosed.
